Under the Swachhta Pakhwada Programme, a gosthi on “Solid Waste Management” was organized at Experimental Farm Hawalbagh, ICAR-VPKAS, Almora on December 22, 2022. The gosthi commenced with the formal welcome address by Dr Ramesh Singh Pal. The programme was graced by the presence of all head of the divisions. The guest speakers of the programme Mr Jitendra Yadav, a social worker and environmentalist, delivered lecture with instances and practices to curb solid waste management. He described the different ways to handle the solid as well as the e-waste. All Heads and Nodal officer - Swachhhata, expressed their views in concern with solid waste management and environment safety. The gosthi was ended with a formal vote of thanks. About 35 employees of ICAR-VPKAS Almora participated in the program. The gosthi was coordinated by Drs R K Khulbe, R S Pal and Rahul dev.
