• New india Manthan-Sankalp Se Sidhi programme held at KVK, Bageshwar

    Krishi Vigyan Kendra (ICAR-VPKAS), Kafligair, Bageshwar organized New India Movement 2017-2022, “Sankalp Se Sidhi” Programme at KVK, campus on 28.08.2017. Hon’ble Union Minister of States of Textile, Shri Ajay Tamta ji was the chief guest of the programme. Programme was initiated by inaugurating the agriculture exhibition followed by enlightening of lamp by the chief guest. Director, ICAR-Viveknand Parvatiya Krishi Anusandhan Sansthan welcomed the chief guest, government officers and farmers participated in the programme. After that In-charge Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Dr. N. K. Singh elaborated the main objectives of the programme. Smt Ranjana Verma, District Magistrate of Bageshwar told about the governments ongoing schemes in the district and She further suggested ideas for doubling the farmer’s income in the Bageshwar district. Hon’ble Zeela Panchayat Adhayaksh, Shri Harish Chandra Singh Aithani said that when we take the sankalp with full determination then definitely we achieve the target. Member of Legislative assembly Bageshwar Shri Chandan Ram Das ji also addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of digitization in making new India. Hon,ble Union Minster of states of Textile Shri Ajay Tamta addressed the gathering and narrated the commitment of Central Government for the welfare of farmers and talked about various schemes and programmes initiated by the Government and hoped that these programme will ensure doubling of farmers’ income by 2022.

      The Minister also stressed about the implementation of new technologies in the field of agriculture like use of e websites, mobile apps, E-NAM in the marketing of Agricultural produce. He also focused on the opportunities of organic farming in Uttarakhand. After addressing the gathering the chief guest, other dignitaries and farmers took the ‘Sankalp se Sidhi’ pledge. A total of 550 farmers and 60 Officers from central and state departments of Bageshwar district participated in the programme.
